Flyer Distribution Procedures

Please note: Schools cannot use their own Peachjar accounts to send out flyers to families for outside organizations. Outside organizations must create their own Peachjar accounts and upload their own flyers for district approval.

Your school's Peachjar Site Administrator (your school secretary can tell you who that is) can upload flyers to the school's Peachjar account.  You can send your flyers to the Site Admin for uploading.  The Site Admin is also in charge of assigning uploading privileges to others. Please contact that individual if you would like to request uploading privileges. Once uploading privileges are assigned to you, an auto-generated email is sent to you with your username and password.

If you are a flyer uploader for your school, follow the directions below.

  1. IMPORTANT:  There are specific flier requirements. Read the NVUSD Flyer Policies
  2. Visit www.peachjar.com
  3. Log in.
  4. Upload your flyer.  You will go through a "checkout" process, but there is no charge for flyers for schools and parent clubs.

Your flyer will then be emailed out in the next cycle, which is typically the following day.

About ADA Compliance/Accessiblity

Peachjar's digital content complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A & AA standards. These are the guidelines the Office of Civil Rights requires for school district digital content.

What does that mean? Emails sent to parents through Peachjar, and each school's Peachjar flier page, are now to be compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies.

How to make your flyer ADA compliant: After uploading the flyer, the text from your flyer will be copied into an editable text box for you to review and correct as needed before sending the flyer. Your flyer should meet the following requirements:

  1. Be 1-4 pages in length (required). Learn more about how to send longer flyers.
  2. Contain clear and legible text in size 12 font or larger.
  3. Not be a scanned or copied document. You may be required to copy/paste or type the text into the description box.

Note that images and scans cannot be read by screen readers.

Additionally, please note that embedded links within your flyer will no longer be supported. Learn more about including links with your flyer.

Sending Flyers to Other Schools

Just like outside organizations can submit e-flyers to NVUSD for approval to distribute to any of our schools, now our schools also have the capability to distribute e-flyers to other schools in our district.  If a school or parent club is hosting an event open to the entire community, and wants other schools’ families to know about it, that school can send its e-flyer to NVUSD with a list of schools to send the flyer to.  Because of the Peachjar account structure, these flyers from other schools will appear to be coming from the recipient's school—but they have actually been sent by the district Peachjar account.

How to send flyers to other schools:

Send email to communications@nvusd.org.

What to include:

  • Flyer(s) in PDF format in English and Spanish
  • Text of flyer in separate file or in body of email (for ADA compliance)
  • List of schools you wish the flyer to be sent to

About Spanish Translation

NVUSD provides professional translation for district and school communications.  Materials for translation should be sent to the school secretary for submission to the district translation service. Google Translate is not acceptable for translating flyers.

Materials destined for the district translator must be in the original editable format for translation (e.g., Word, Publisher), NOT in an image format (e.g., PDF, JPG).
